Wake Smith strengthens property teams
Sheffield-based law firm Wake Smith Solicitors has announced two senior promotions across its residential and commercial property teams, alongside the appointment of a new solicitor.
Ben Spencer has been promoted to head of commercial property, while Lisa Molinari has stepped into the role of head of residential conveyancing operations.
Ben has spent 24 years with the firm, having joined as a trainee prior to the merger with Wake Smith in 2006, and his promotion forms part of the firm’s long-term succession planning.
Meanwhile, Lisa joined Wake Smith last year as a director and brings almost 15 years’ experience in conveyancing, playing a key role in supporting operational and digital improvements.
The firm has also appointed Ellie Stothard as a solicitor in its residential property team.
Ellie qualified in 2023 and brings broad experience across residential conveyancing matters.
Their appointments support Wake Smith’s continued focus on service delivery and team development.
Paul Gibbon, joint managing director at Wake Smith, said: “We are deeply grateful for Neil’s leadership and contributions, which have laid a strong foundation for the department’s future and we are confident that under Ben’s guidance, the department will continue to thrive and grow.
“This transition marks an exciting new chapter, and we look forward to the continued success and longevity of the team.
“Congratulations to Ben on this significant achievement, and thanks to Neil for his outstanding leadership.
“We are also thrilled Lisa accepted this well-deserved appointment and look forward to the continued growth and success of the conveyancing team under her leadership.
“Ellie’s arrival will further strengthen our busy and growing residential property team, adding depth and expertise to the department, and the firm as a whole.”
