Ward Hadaway appoints private client partner
Newcastle-based law firm Ward Hadaway has strengthened its private client offering with the appointment of solicitor Louise Miller as a partner.
Louise brings almost 20 years’ experience advising individuals, families, and business owners on wills, trusts, probate, powers of attorney and succession planning, including complex matters for entrepreneurs and growing businesses.
She joins Ward Hadaway during a period of continued expansion following the firm’s recent merger with Teesside-based Endeavour Partnership and the opening of its Birmingham office.
Louise qualified in 2006 and has specialised exclusively in private client law throughout her career.
Prior to joining Ward Hadaway, she was a partner at Weightmans, working as part of its national private wealth team.
Louise said: “The opportunity to join Ward Hadaway’s private client team was something I couldn’t turn down.
“I have known and admired the team’s work for many years and knew immediately that it was the right environment for me - collaborative, experienced and genuinely committed to clients.
“It’s also a really exciting time for the firm and there’s been real investment in private client services and the wider business.
“I’m looking forward to contributing to the next phase of growth, particularly around advising entrepreneurs and business owners on long-term succession planning.”
Louise joins partners Alison Hall and Andrew Facer within the firm’s Newcastle-based wills, trusts and estates team, which provides integrated advice alongside financial planners and tax advisers across the UK.
Alison, head of private client, added: “Louise is a highly respected adviser with extensive experience across the full spectrum of estate planning and wealth protection.
“Her work with entrepreneurs and business owners adds an important dimension to our team and complements our existing strengths.
“As the private client offering continues to grow across our regional offices, her arrival supports our long-term ambition to build a market leading service for individuals and families throughout the UK.”
Steven Petrie, managing partner of Ward Hadaway, added: “Louise’s appointment reflects the momentum we are building across the firm as we continue to invest in our people and core services.
“Strengthening our private client expertise is an important part of that and Louise brings the experience and capability that supports where we are heading as a business.”
