Contractor's order book heats up with 167 flat work
A building contractor has completed work on a £4.7 million upgrade scheme.
Procast Group has fitted external wall insulation to 167 flats in Glasgow’s east end.
Bosses say the work – delivered alongside Calvay Housing Association – has “significantly improved energy efficiency, providing tenants with warmer living conditions and lower fuel bills”.
The work, spread across 35 blocks, included cavity wall insulation, upgraded mechanical ventilation systems and a pilot of an internal air source heat pump.
Hamilton-based Procast Group worked alongside business consultancy firm Brown + Wallace to manage the project.
Derek Innes, Procast Group owner and managing director, said: “This project exemplifies excellence in social housing retrofit delivery.
“Through comprehensive fabric improvement, innovative air source heat pump technology, proactive variation management and exceptional resident engagement, the team delivered transformational benefits for 167 homes.”
