Supply Chain Showcase returns to Tees Valley
A North East business showcase is set to return in February, bringing together suppliers, buyers and industry leaders to explore new opportunities across key growth sectors.
The Tees Valley Supply Chain Showcase will take place on February 12 at Hardwick Hall, in Sedgefield, following a strong turnout of almost 200 attendees at last year’s event.
The annual showcase is designed to connect local businesses with emerging projects, major contractors and decision-makers operating across the region.
Delivered by RTC North on behalf of Tees Valley Combined Authority, with oversight from the Tees Valley Business Board, the event forms part of the wider Tees Valley Supply Chain programme.
The programme provides tailored support from business advisers and sector specialists to help companies strengthen resilience, diversify and access new markets.
Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen said: “Save the date.
“This showcase is your chance to see the huge range of support on offer for businesses across our region.
“Every time we bring our innovators and suppliers together, good things happen.
“This event will show exactly how our companies can push on, win new work and back each other to grow.
“I want as many businesses as possible in the room, ready to make the most of the opportunities coming their way.”
Attendees will be able to explore a stakeholder village highlighting the breadth of business support available across the region, alongside cross-sector opportunities spanning advanced manufacturing, the energy transition, digital innovation, construction and the defence sector.
A key highlight will be the return of the popular Meet-the-Buyer sessions, which offer focused ten-minute meetings between suppliers and buyers.
At the 2025 event, these sessions were highly rated by participants, achieving an average score of 4.63 out of five, with businesses praising the practical insight into tendering and supply chain entry.
An initial line-up of speakers has already been confirmed, including representatives from Tees Valley Lithium, SPIE Wind Connect, Global Underwater Hub, UK Docks and JDR Cable Systems, part of the TFKable Group.
Further industry speakers and contributors are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
The showcase also supports the broader ambition of the Tees Valley Supply Chain programme, which aims to link local firms with world-leading organisations based in the region, while encouraging collaboration and inter-trading within the local business community.
The fully funded programme, supported by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, includes workshops, exhibitions, specialist advice, networking events, site visits and access to an online exchange portal, helping businesses position themselves for long-term growth.
Jim Barr, Tees Valley supply chain programme manager at RTC North, added: “We’re delighted to once again bring this unique multi sector showcase to the beneficiaries of the Tees Valley region.
“We look forward to connecting the businesses and stakeholders and encouraging them to take advantage of this exclusive opportunity to help grow and diversify their product/service offering.
“We hope they find it both a rewarding experience and a valuable opportunity for their businesses, and we look forward to engaging with everyone on the day.”
