New construction firm targets housing push

A newly launched Scottish construction firm is aiming to add much-needed capacity to the delivery of housing projects across the country as demand continues to grow.

CK Construction, based in Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire, has officially launched as part of the wider CK Group, expanding its presence in Scotland and strengthening its ability to support residential development. 

The firm, led by managing director Andrew Dallas, who brings more than 20 years of experience across public and private sector construction, will initially focus on residential-led schemes, particularly affordable housing, while also delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment and groundworks for public sector and partnering clients. 

Andrew said: “There is a clear and urgent need for increased delivery capacity in the market, particularly in affordable housing. 

“CK Construction has been created to respond to that need by working in genuine partnership with clients, focusing on quality, transparency and long-term relationships rather than short-term growth.

“I’m extremely proud to launch CK Construction into the Scottish market. 

“This business has been built on strong foundations, supported by nearly 30 years of experience within the CK Group in the construction and civil engineering sector. 

“That heritage gives us a real platform to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.”

It is backed by the established expertise of CK Contracts, founded in 1997, and benefits from integrated civil engineering and construction capabilities.

CK Construction’s in-house approach to site investigations and groundworks is designed to give clients greater certainty over programme, quality and risk, particularly on complex or contaminated sites.

Working closely with Scottish Registered Social Landlords and local authorities, the firm aims to build a strong project pipeline, secure places on key housing frameworks and grow in a controlled and sustainable way.
