Caddick Construction grows North East team

Wakefield-headquartered Caddick Construction has strengthened its North East team with a series of new operational, commercial and project appointments, supporting its ongoing regional expansion.

The growth follows the launch of Caddick’s Durham office, which saw eighteen new recruits join during 2025, with a further four appointments already made in 2026 to support a growing pipeline of work across the region.

Among the latest hires are Chris Musson, who has joined as commercial manager, and Dan Dodsworth, appointed operations manager.

Both are graduates of Northumbria University and bring a combined 30 years of industry experience across commercial, residential, education and heritage projects.

Chris said: “While the North East represents new opportunities for Caddick, the business itself has a strong and established presence, and I’m looking forward to helping build a resilient commercial team.

“For me, it’s about being visible as a leader, supporting bid activity and strategy, and developing a team that can grow with the business.”

Dan added: “Caddick has identified and is addressing a real gap in the North East market, and has a strong and growing pipeline of work as a result.

“It’s a dynamic, agile business and that’s an exciting environment to be part of.

“I’m looking forward to overseeing multiple projects across the North East and working closely with teams on site to ensure high standards of quality, safety and delivery.”

Based at the Durham office at Belmont Business Park, the expanded team spans planning, pre-construction, project management, site safety and aftercare.

The contractor has also welcomed two new commercial apprentices, Connie Bell and Jake Dickinson, reinforcing its investment in skills and workforce development across the North East.

Steve Ford, regional managing director of Caddick Construction North East and Yorkshire, added: “The launch of our Durham office was our statement of intent for the North East, and the growth of the team since has reflected both the strength of the regional market and the confidence clients have in Caddick.

“We are investing in experienced leadership, emerging talent and apprenticeships to build a team with local knowledge and capability.

“With a strong pipeline of work already secured, our team’s expansion puts us in an excellent position to deliver high-quality, safe and sustainable projects across the region.”
