Footwear firm Dr Martens steps on with office move
A footwear brand is stepping forward with an office move.
Dr Martens is switching to London’s 20 Whitfield Street.
Bosses say the 40,410sq ft hub will replace two existing capital offices and fulfil a “desire for all London-based colleagues to work collaboratively in one building”.
They add the boot and shoe maker has signed a 15-year lease on the former British Transport Police base, which has been refurbished by international real estate and development company Global Holdings Management Group.
The work, supported by Hale Brown Architects, contractor Make One and design firm Lore Studio, has added new facades, terraces, cycle storage and an additional penthouse floor.
Josh Lawrence, Global Holdings Management Group UK’s chief executive, said: “20 Whitfield Street is a prime workspace in a well-connected part of London, making it the ideal destination for Dr Martens.
“We have worked closely with our design partners to create a working environment which helps attract and retain talent, as well as enabling collaboration.”
