Global Machinery Solutions hires new construction head
Newark-based machinery dealer Global Machinery Solutions has appointed Alan Shea as head of construction as it accelerates SANY machine sales across the East Midlands.
His appointment follows the expansion of the company’s territory into Leicestershire, adding to its existing coverage across Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
In his new role, Alan will lead construction sales and service strategy across the full SANY range, including excavators, telehandlers and rollers, supporting customers working across construction, recycling and infrastructure projects.
His remit also includes the recently introduced SANY material handlers, broadening the business’s heavier-duty machinery offering.
Alan joins Global Machinery Solutions from the Rygor Group and brings decades of industry experience.
Alan said: “SANY has a strong reputation for quality and value across multiple sectors, including construction, recycling, infrastructure, and aggregates.
“I’m excited to support customers across the East Midlands and help the business grow in this region.”
Edward Baker, managing director, added: “Alan’s appointment comes at a key point for our East Midlands expansion, following our growing machine range and being named Dealer of the Year at the national SANY network conference.
“His expertise strengthens our ability to support customers across the region while continuing to raise standards in sales, service, and product knowledge.”
