Bluebay Building Products' new depot in Milton Keynes

Bluebay grows operations with new facility

A construction supply business is strengthening its national operations with a move into a new purpose-built, sustainable distribution facility.

Bluebay Building Products has relocated its Luton operations to a newly developed depot in Milton Keynes, designed to support growth while improving efficiency and environmental performance.

The 21,000sq ft facility sits close to the M1 and will enable the distributor to serve customers across the UK more effectively.

The flagship site includes 700 pallet spaces, a bespoke trade counter with readily available stock and increased capacity to hold a wider product range.

It has been developed with sustainability in mind, achieving an EPC A rating and a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ classification. Features include EV charging points, renewable technologies, PV roof panels and cycle storage, with provision for future fleet expansion.

Lucy Furnival, managing director at Bluebay, said: “This strategic move allows us to expand our commercial footprint, support more clients, stock a wider range of products, and create more jobs in the South East region.

“It’s been a big year for Bluebay; I joined the business last January following our acquisition by the Wolseley Group, and we’ve since focused on strategic growth – delivering an industry leading service and product range, whilst supporting local community investment, achieving sustainability goals and opening our new branch in Thurrock, and now Milton Keynes.

“These locations will enable us to better support the many significant infrastructure and construction projects across this part of the country."

The Milton Keynes move marks Bluebay’s second new facility in the region within a year, following the opening of a Thurrock depot in summer 2025.

Bluebay employs 60 people and operates depots in Warrington, Gateshead and Cardiff, with further UK expansion planned in 2026, including a new site in Glasgow.
