Logistics firm expands with seven-figure backing
A Huddersfield-based logistics provider is expanding its storage capacity after securing seven-figure backing to develop a new facility.
Hanson Logistics, which provides warehousing and chemical storage to COMAH standards, is opening a 40,000sq ft custom-built storage site with support from HSBC UK.
Bosses say the first phase will deliver 450 units across three floors, with plans to expand to 900 units in total as part of a wider development on land adjacent to its existing base.
They add the funding will support enhanced security features, including 24-hour on-site presence and CCTV, with the diversification forecast to drive a ten per cent increase in turnover over the next year.
The facility is due to open in April 2026 and is expected to create new jobs.
Paul Pheasey, managing director at Hanson Logistics, said: “Securing this funding from HSBC UK marks an exciting step in the evolution of Hanson Logistics.
“Our focus has always been on providing reliable, high-quality services, and this new facility allows us to combine our long-standing expertise with innovative digital technology to deliver enhanced security, convenience, and care to a wider customer base.”
Ben Carver, relationship manager at HSBC UK, added: “We are delighted to support Hanson Logistics in this ambitious expansion.
“The commitment of the business to innovation and customer service aligns perfectly with the type of company we aim to support.
“We look forward to seeing how this new facility will help Hanson Logistics build on its long-standing success.”
