Knights bolsters Manchester corporate team
National law firm Knights has appointed David Fitzmaurice as a partner in its Manchester corporate team to support continued growth in the regional market.
David has spent his career in Manchester, including more than ten years at KPMG Law, and brings experience in private company mergers and acquisitions, large-scale reorganisations and cross-border transactions.
He also advises on management incentive schemes and has led deals across a range of sectors, including founder-led exits and complex multi-jurisdictional acquisitions.
David said: “Knights is deliberately different; the model is truly unique and provides the freedom and support to build something meaningful.
“The team in Manchester is hugely ambitious, and it made joining an easy decision.
“The high calibre of colleagues at Knights and the growth story is impressive.
“I’m excited to be joining at this point, as despite its size, it feels as if we’re just getting started.
David’s appointment enhances Knights’ corporate capability in the city, where the firm also advises on real estate, dispute resolution, family, residential property and housing matters, supported by a nationwide team.
Duncan Harty, client services director for the Manchester office, says: “David’s experience brings an adept understanding of the local market, having worked on complex deals right in the heart of Manchester.
“He’s a fantastic addition to our team.
“His appointment reflects our commitment to attracting top talent and delivering outstanding corporate services across the North.”
