Buyout gives anti-skid firm 'fresh traction for growth'
An anti-skid coatings firm says it is set for a smooth future following a management buyout.
Beegrip has been taken on by commercial director Nina Lightfoot and technical sales manager Josh Workman.
The duo say they are “looking forward to upholding the outstanding reputation the Manchester-based company has gained around the world”.
The deal was completed for an undisclosed sum, with former shareholders Steve Greathead and Amy Wright exiting the business.
Known for coatings across the marine and civil sectors, Beegrip’s products are used by shipbuilders, port operators and contractors on infrastructure including vehicle carriageways, linkspans and bridge and steel decks.
New managing directors Nina and Josh were advised on the buyout by accountancy and advisory firm MHA.
MHA’s corporate finance team was led by Andrew Feeke and Sam Singleton, with the tax team led by David Hackett and Saira Ahmad.
Andrew, partner and head of corporate finance, said: “We’re proud to have supported Beegrip’s ambitious management team throughout this process, achieving a deal that provides excellent outcomes for all parties.”
Harrison Drury’s corporate team provided legal advice to the buyer, with its team led by Richard Life, Jennifer Murphy and Richard Williams-Bulkeley.
Colin Mellor, Gemma Lingard and Christian Mancier, of Gorvins, provided legal advice to the seller.
Beegrip was founded in 2017 to realise a management buyout of the BIMAGRIP industrial coating business.
