Takeover equals growth for accountancy firm
An accounting and advisory firm has expanded with a takeover.
BK Plus has bought Crowther Chartered Accountants.
Bosses say the deal for the Huddersfield-based operator “further strengthens its position in Yorkshire”.
Founded in 1995, Crowther Chartered Accountants supports owner-managed businesses with accountancy, tax planning, management reporting, payroll and business advice.
Under the terms of the deal, the firm will continue operating from its Huddersfield-based Pennine Business Park office.
Shaun Knight, chief executive at BK Plus, which runs further bases in Brighouse, Halifax, Keighley and Sheffield, said: “We’re building real depth across the region.
“The addition of Crowther Chartered Accountants really adds strength to our service offering in this area of the country.”
Steve Crowther, Crowther Chartered Accountants’ managing director, added: “We wanted to join a firm that understood the value of local relationships.
“Joining BK Plus allows us to retain that approach while giving our team and clients access to broader specialist expertise.”
