Nory serves up US expansion
A London-based restaurant technology company is expanding into the United States as operators grapple with rising costs and tightening margins.
Nory, an AI-driven restaurant management platform founded by hospitality entrepreneur and Mad Egg co‑founder Conor Sheridan in 2021, has opened its US headquarters in New York as part of a rapid American rollout.
The move follows a $37 million Series B funding round, bringing the company’s total backing to $63 million.
Its platform combines business intelligence, workforce management and inventory control into a single system designed to help hospitality businesses improve profitability. Nory is positioning its AI tools as a way to predict demand, optimise staffing and protect margins in an increasingly complex market.
Nory’s AI-driven system enables labour savings of between eight and 20 per cent and reduces food waste by up to 50 per cent, alongside automating administrative tasks and generating real-time insights.
The US launch begins with five hospitality groups, including Black Sheep Coffee, Roasting Plant Coffee, With Love, Always and Singas Pizza, ahead of a planned nationwide rollout later this year.
Conor, who will lead the US-based team and will be relocating to the States, said: “US restaurant operators are under intense pressure from rising costs and staffing complexity, so we’re giving them a system that doesn’t just report on what happened; it helps them plan what’s next.
“Our focus in the US is on delivering practical AI that improves day-to-day decision-making and helps restaurants run more resilient, profitable businesses.”
