Champneys Mottram Hall partners with Sharks
A luxury Cheshire spa hotel has partnered with a leading Premiership rugby club to strengthen links between sport, hospitality and wellness.
Champneys Mottram Hall has been named Official Hotel and Golf Partner of Sale Sharks as part of a new collaboration connecting the club with the 270-acre estate near Alderley Edge.
Under the agreement, the venue will host the club’s annual golf day in April 2026 on its 18-hole championship course.
Champneys products will also feature in hospitality suites at the CorpAcq Stadium during Sale Sharks’ fixture against Saracens in April.
Luisa d’Aprano, commercial director at Sale Sharks, said: “Mottram Hall is the finest hotel in Cheshire and that pursuit of excellence and quality in everything they do matches up with our desire to be the very best in our field.
“We want to partner with brands that share our ambition and I look forward to working with the Champneys team to grow the partnership.
“I’m excited to see what we can achieve together.”
Champneys Mottram Hall offers a spa, fitness centre and restaurant facilities and has undergone significant investment since being acquired by Champneys in 2018.
The group invested £15 million in the Grade II-listed property, including £10 million to create a 33,000sq ft spa and fitness complex.
Alison Hadaway, director of sales at Champneys Wellness Spa, added: “We’re thrilled to partner with Sale Sharks, bringing wellness, relaxation and luxury hospitality to players, fans and guests.
“Mottram Hall’s spa and golf facilities perfectly complement the excitement of rugby, and we look forward to creating unforgettable experiences together.”
