Digital firm plots 70 jobs after £38.8 million deal

A digital technology firm has pledged to create scores of jobs after landing a £38.8 million Government deal.

Scrumconnect is set to provide testing and quality assurance support to HM Revenue & Customs.

Bosses say the five-year agreement will add at least 70 staff to its London headquarters and its office in Newcastle’s Portland House business hub.

They add the “landmark win” – described as the largest single contract in the company’s history – will also see the business open a third operational base later this year.

Under the terms of the agreement, Scrumconnect will carry out services including software quality monitoring and system testing, with new job roles including test managers, quality engineers and performance, resilience and security posts.

Jordan Armstrong, Scrumconnect head of client success, said: “Our testing and quality assurance practice has a strong track record of delivering high-quality assurance services across the UK government.

“This contract reflects the strength of our experience and the capabilities we bring.”

Seymour Pattisson, Scrumconnect head of testing and quality assurance, added: “Delivering this programme means having the right testing capability in place, along with strong people, governance and delivery structures.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming colleagues as we further expand the practice.”
