Coaching firm eyes global pitch after £1 million boost
A sales coaching firm has unveiled global growth plans after landing £1 million support.
MySalesCoach is set to ramp up sales and marketing activity to push further into the international arena.
The blueprint comes after the Newcastle-based operator – which combines personal sales coaching with technological support – was backed by seven-figure Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II cash.
Bosses say it has also been bolstered by an additional £500,000 from existing investors Northstar Ventures and Creative UK’s North East Fund.
Kevin Beales, co-founder and chief executive at Bank House-based MySalesCoach, said: “The opportunity to combine artificial intelligence and human expertise in sales coaching is creating a unique moment in time.
“Our platform is re-engineering how sales teams can be coached with the daily frequency of artificial intelligence and the impact of human expertise.
“With this backing, we’re ready to scale and support more organisations and individuals who want to improve sales outcomes in a rapidly evolving market.”
The business secured its seven-figure support via the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II – Maven Equity Finance programme.
David Nixon, Maven Equity Finance senior investment manager, said: “The rise in hybrid working has accelerated the adoption of online training and coaching.
“Kevin and the team have built a strong business operating in a high-growth market.
“We’re delighted to support the platform at this point in the company’s development.”
Sarah Newbould, senior investment manager at British Business Bank, which oversees the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II, added: “We’re proud to be part of MySalesCoach’s journey and unlocking opportunity across the North East’s vibrant technology sector.”
The funding comes a year after MySalesCoach announced £1.1 million support from Northstar Ventures and Creative UK.
Tom O’Neill, investment manager at Newcastle and Sunderland-based Northstar Ventures, added: “We’re delighted to support MySalesCoach with further investment from our Innovation Fund and EIS Growth Fund.
“The business is well placed to take advantage of significant opportunities in the rapidly evolving wider sales coaching market.”
