One for the City adds board member

Leeds-based business community organisation One for the City has appointed Sam Raife, managing director of Brand Ambition, to its board.

Sam joins with experience in marketing and brand development, leading Leeds-based agency Brand Ambition and working with a range of regional businesses.

In his new role, he will focus on enhancing the organisation’s brand and visibility, while supporting efforts to grow membership and increase engagement across the Leeds business community.

Sam said: “One for the City represents what is best about the Leeds business community.

“It brings organisations together who want to make a meaningful difference in the city they operate in.

“My focus will be on helping tell that story more clearly, while also ensuring the businesses who support the initiative are recognised for the impact they are helping to create.

“There is a huge opportunity to showcase the organisations already involved and encourage more businesses across Leeds to play their part in supporting our communities.”

Sam’s appointment strengthens One for the City’s board as it continues to expand its network and support local charities and community initiatives.

Mike Quate, co-founder of One for the City, added: “As One for the City continues to grow, it’s important that we communicate the impact our members are making across Leeds more effectively.

“Having someone with Sam’s marketing experience on the board will help us showcase the businesses involved, highlight the difference they are making in the community, and inspire more organisations to join us in supporting the city.

“Marketing plays an important role in helping organisations articulate their purpose and impact, and Sam brings valuable expertise in how we share the One for the City story.”
