Tool distribution firm hammers out acquisition
A tool distributor has expanded with an acquisition.
Dormole has bought the business and assets of Rollins and Sons (London).
Bosses say the firm will strengthen its Galleon Tools Group subsidiary and “bolster long-term growth in the business”.
Headquartered in Dartford, Dormole is known for the distribution and brand development of hand and power tools and accessories to resellers.
Its businesses include Toolbank, Forgefix, Keighley-based Harrison & Clough and a Sheffield-based Complete Distribution and Logistics hub, which acts as a national distribution centre for its Galleon Fixings arm.
Operating from Hertford, Rollins is known for supplying and distributing American and European hand tools.
Dave Rogers, Galleon Tools managing director, said: “Rollins has built an outstanding reputation over the past century, with strong customer relationships and a highly knowledgeable team.
“Through this acquisition, we are providing long-term stability and backing to the business and the respected brands it represents, ensuring they continue to thrive in a competitive market.”
The deal was supported by law firm Schofield Sweeney.
Michael Cantwell, a partner in the corporate team at the Bradford, Huddersfield, Leeds and London-based legal operator, was supported by corporate, property and commercial teams.
He said: “Dormole is a long-standing client and we’re proud to support them in this new chapter as they continue to grow and expand their capabilities.”
