Gigaclear appoints chief commercial officer
Abingdon-based Gigaclear has appointed Jon Hurry as chief commercial officer as it looks to accelerate its next phase of growth.
Jon brings more than 25 years’ experience in telecoms and infrastructure, having held senior roles at BT, Openreach and G.Network.
In his new role, he will lead commercial strategy and support the business in driving performance and growth across its network.
The company has also announced that chief marketing officer Nick Rawlings will step down after six years, having played a key role in building the brand and customer base.
Jon said: “Gigaclear has built a strong platform as the leading rural altnet provider, and I’m excited to be joining at a pivotal point in its journey.
“The opportunity now is to accelerate growth, strengthen commercial execution and unlock more value from our network.
“I look forward to working with the team to deliver the next phase of growth and enable access to Gigaclear’s ultrafast broadband for more underserved communities.”
Nathan Rundle, chief executive, added: “Gigaclear has built a strong platform, now serving 170,000 customers with penetration of 28 per cent across our network.
“Jon brings deep industry expertise and a strong track record of delivering growth and transformation.
“His experience will be instrumental as we continue to scale the business.
“As we move into our next phase of growth, we remain focused on bridging the digital divide in rural Britain to deliver ultrafast, reliable broadband to homes and businesses that need it most.
“I’m delighted to welcome Jon to the team and look forward to working together over the coming years.
“I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Nick for the great job he has done in bringing customers onto our network and I wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.”
