Technology firm 'excited for future' after takeover
A technology firm has expanded with a takeover.
VMA Systems has bought ICT North.
The North Tyneside-based company says the move boosts a blueprint to deliver a “broader spectrum of services and benefits” to clients.
Founded in 2011, VMA Systems provides management software and mobile app support to gaming and amusement machine operators and suppliers across the UK and North America.
ICT North, also based in the North East, provides IT support to schools and education providers that includes the subscription-based SmartSupport service.
David Middleton, managing director at VMA Systems, which operates from Wallsend’s Silverlink Business Park, said: “There are many similarities between the two businesses, and customers will benefit from being part of the same group.
“We are excited to see where the collaboration takes us.”
VMA Systems was supported on the deal by Bradford, Huddersfield and Leeds-based commercial law firm Schofield Sweeney.
Ben Stephens, a solicitor in the firm’s corporate team, added: “VMA Systems is an exciting company very much looking to expand into new markets.
“We wish them every success.”
