UK's fastest growing women's team sport nets nutrition boost
Players at the top level of the UK’s fastest growing women’s team sport are set to benefit from cutting edge sports nutrition thanks to a landmark partnership announced this week.
Super League Basketball (SLB) is working with Bio-Synergy to ensure its Women’s League sets the standard in supporting elite athletes with proven performance and recovery supplements.
And the multi-year agreement includes a programme of wider learning and grassroots engagement — tapping into basketball’s unique culture and the sport’s inclusive community.
“We’ve always believed that women deserve more from their nutrition,” said Daniel Herman, Bio-Synergy’s founder and CEO. “That means better formulas, better transparency and better support.
“SLB is building something genuinely exciting for women’s sport in the UK and we’re proud to be part of that from the ground up.”
SLB is the premier basketball competition in the UK, showcasing elite domestic talent and international players across a growing network of clubs.
It is at the forefront of transforming the sport in Britain — driving participation, broadcast reach and commercial investment across the men’s and women’s game.
Bio-Synergy becomes the SLB’s Official Nutrition Partner and Jim Saker, Women’s League chair at the SLB, said: “This partnership is a powerful statement of intent for our league.
“As we continue to grow, it’s vital that our athletes are supported with top-class, trusted nutrition that matches their professionalism and ambition.
“This collaboration not only enhances performance at the elite level but also reinforces our commitment to raising standards across the women’s game and inspiring the next generation.”
Bio-Synergy will provide product supply across SLB clubs competing in the Women’s League, activations at marquee games and events, and co-branded content championing women’s health and performance.
The partnership will also support grassroots engagement, connecting the brand’s growing community with the athletes and stories at the heart of the league.
Bio-Synergy’s Active Woman® range — designed specifically for the physiological and nutritional needs of female athletes — will be the focal point of the collaboration, with player-led content and exclusive offers for SLB fans.
The announcement follows Bio-Synergy’s broader expansion into strategic sports partnerships and retail growth, including international distribution across the Middle East and ongoing discussions with major UK grocery retailers.
The SLB partnership anchors the brand’s commitment to women’s sport as a core pillar of its commercial and values-led strategy.
