Beal lays groundwork for £120 million Hull scheme

A Yorkshire housebuilder is moving forward with a new residential development in Hull after beginning infrastructure works.

Beal Homes has started groundwork at its £120 million King’s Crescent scheme in the Kingswood area, with roads and drainage systems now under construction ahead of the first homes.

The 52-acre development will feature 450 properties across two phases, with full planning in place for an initial 214 homes and outline consent for a further 236.

In its first phase, the scheme will deliver a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, with initial plots expected to be released later this summer.

Plans also include a country park with more than 800 trees, alongside a contribution towards new primary school places.

Ross Clarkson, sales and marketing director at Beal Homes, said: “We’re excited to have begun work on site to enable our latest development in Kingswood and that we’ll soon be offering another opportunity to own a luxury home in this popular neighbourhood.

“We’ve been part of the Kingswood community for more than three decades, so we’re excited to begin the latest chapter of our story in the area.”

The project builds on Beal’s long-standing presence in Kingswood, where it has delivered more than 1200 homes, alongside wider investment to improve flood resilience across the area.

Andy Devine, construction director at Beal Homes, added: “We’ve now moved onto the King’s Crescent site and local residents can expect to see our experienced construction teams carrying out infrastructure works, including roads and sewers installation, over the coming weeks before the first homes begin to rise from the ground.

“As with all of our developments, we’re committed to ensuring work on site is carried out with minimal disruption to the surrounding community and with full consideration for local people.”
