Law firm embeds AI to streamline operations
A Yorkshire law firm has advanced its digital capabilities by embedding artificial intelligence into its day-to-day legal operations.
Inspire Legal Group has become the first UK firm to integrate Qanooni AI with practice management platform Actionstep, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency.
The integration combines Actionstep’s matter management and operational systems with Qanooni’s AI-driven drafting, research and document review tools.
Bosses say it allows lawyers to work within a single connected environment, generating and analysing legal content using live matter data without switching systems.
Built within Microsoft Word and Outlook, it delivers faster, more consistent outputs while maintaining a clear audit trail of AI-assisted work.
Natalie Foster, chief executive of Inspire Legal Group, said: “For us, this is about giving our lawyers time back to focus on what really matters, our clients.
“Qanooni has stood out in how naturally it fits into our existing workflows, particularly within Microsoft Word and Outlook, allowing us to move faster without compromising on quality.
“It’s enabling us to be more responsive and ultimately deliver greater value to our clients.
“Technology like this allows us to spend more time advising, guiding and supporting clients, rather than being tied up in repetitive tasks.”
The move reflects a broader shift across the legal sector towards embedding AI directly into core systems, rather than relying on standalone tools.
Hannah Strawbridge, executive director at Inspire Legal Group, added: “In litigation, time and accuracy are everything.
“Having Qanooni integrated with Actionstep means we can quickly analyse case materials, draft documents and respond to developments with far greater efficiency.
“It gives us a real advantage in managing complex matters while maintaining the highest standards.”
Rob Lawson, head of sales and partnerships at Qanooni, added: “This is a big moment not just for Qanooni and Inspire, but for the UK legal market.
“We’re seeing the shift from AI as a standalone tool to AI embedded directly inside the systems lawyers already rely on every day.”
“By combining Actionstep’s matter intelligence with Qanooni’s AI‑native capabilities, firms can move faster, deliver more consistent work, and unlock capacity across their teams.
“Inspire Legal Group are leading from the front, and we expect many firms to follow.”
