FlyDoncaster appoints senior leadership trio
Doncaster-based airport operator FlyDoncaster has appointed Andy Hudson, Kofi Yeboah and Sam Kind to senior roles as it prepares for the reopening of Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
Andy joins as head of air traffic services from BAE Systems, bringing more than ten years’ aviation experience.
He said: “I’m looking forward to joining the team at Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
“It’s an exciting time as momentum builds towards re-opening.
“As head of air traffic services I’ll have technical, operational and strategic input and I can't wait to get started.”
Kofi has been promoted to head of IT, while Sam steps up to head of finance, having previously held interim and management roles within the business.
In their new positions, they will support operational readiness and certification as part of the airport’s leadership team.
The appointments complete the senior team as activity ramps up ahead of reopening, reflecting FlyDoncaster’s focus on building capability and supporting long-term regional growth.
Simon Hinchley, executive director for Airport Operations at FlyDoncaster, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Andy, Kofi and Sam to the leadership team, as we know their vast experience will help to drive forward work as we prepare for reopening.
“Collectively the leadership team is focused on establishing a strong operating model to underpin a safe, efficient and compliant Doncaster Sheffield Airport of the future.
“We look forward to working together on the vital strategic and practical steps required.
“We recognise the significant part this airport will play in creating employment opportunities now and in the future for people living locally.
“In fact, we know that already more than two thirds of our current staff team are from Yorkshire; comprised of previous staff and new team members from other airports.
“We will continue to expand our workforce in readiness for key milestones in the re-opening process.”
