Plans approved for Trent Basin expansion
A Nottingham riverside housing development is set to move forward after plans were approved for the next stage of a large-scale regeneration.
Blueprint Regeneration has received planning consent for Phase 4 of Trent Basin, known as Trent Basin West, as part of a £100 million riverside neighbourhood being delivered with Nottingham City Council and the East Midlands Combined County Authority.
The phase will bring forward 87 new homes, including a mix of three and four-bedroom properties designed with energy efficiency in mind and offered across a range of tenures.
Funding support from the East Midlands Combined County Authority’s Brownfield Housing Fund will help accelerate delivery, marking a key step in the wider development.
The approval follows progress on a new pedestrian and cycle bridge across the River Trent, facilitated by Blueprint, which will improve connectivity and provide more direct routes into the city.
Sam Veal, chief executive at Blueprint Regeneration, said: “Section 73 planning approval for Trent Basin West marks a significant step forward in delivering the next phase of the development and accelerating housing delivery in Nottingham.
“We’re excited to be delivering high‑quality, sustainable homes that are shaped by the fabric of the area and put people, place and planet at the heart of the design.
“Working in partnership with Nottingham City Council, and with the support of funding from the East Midlands Combined County Authority, this project demonstrates our shared commitment to creating thriving, inclusive riverside communities.”
