Boxphish bolsters team and announces client wins

A Leeds-headquartered cybersecurity firm is growing its workforce following a surge in new business.

Boxphish, a human risk management platform backed by BGF, which provides cybersecurity training, phishing simulations and data analytics to help organisations reduce the risk of cyber attacks, has increased its headcount to nearly 50 after a surge in customer wins.

The firm has also strengthened teams across sales, marketing, customer success, product, IT and operations to support its expansion.

Boxphish has secured contracts with high-profile organisations including Aston Martin, the Natural History Museum, Berkeley Group and Vanquis, driving its recent growth.

As part of its expansion, Boxphish has appointed Laura Davies as vice president of commercial.

She joins the senior leadership team to support customer success and help scale the business as it continues to grow.

Laura said: “I’m proud to be joining Boxphish at such a pivotal point in its growth.

“Organisations increasingly recognise that cyber security awareness is no longer solely an IT responsibility – it’s a cultural and people-driven priority for modern organisations.

“I’m particularly looking forward to working with the talented individuals across the business, building on the strong foundations already in place, and driving sustainable commercial growth through meaningful partnerships and exceptional customer experiences.”

The company’s performance has also been recognised in the 2026 Northern Tech Awards, where it ranked 21st among the fastest-growing technology companies in the North.

Nick Deacon Elliott, chief executive of Boxphish, added: “It's been an amazing year of growth for the business.

“Across the year, we developed a range of new products that help elevate awareness and further influence security behaviours, and have plans in place to ensure we maintain the incredible momentum we’ve seen this year.

“Strategic senior hires are key to our long-term strategy and we're thrilled to have Laura on board.

“She's taking on a crucial role that's going to help us deliver more value to our customers and build stronger working relationships with OEM partners.”

Rob Johnson, investor in BGF’s Yorkshire and North East team, added: “Boxphish continues to deliver against its growth plan with investment in talent and tech, which has attracted key clients.

“This increased team size will unlock further opportunities for innovation as the business continues to expand.”
