Technology firm's delight at King's Award success
A technology firm has been honoured with a national accolade.
Forfusion has received a King’s Award for Enterprise for Promoting Opportunity.
The North Tyneside-based artificial intelligence-ready infrastructure and IT services company was chosen for its work in widening access to technology careers and addressing digital sector skills shortages.
Bosses say the award recognises Forfusion’s “approach to building practical, inclusive pathways into technology roles”, which includes the Civilian Work Attachment scheme.
The venture helps Armed Forces personnel transition into civilian employment, with hands-on experience across technical and operational teams complemented by mentoring and practical career support.
Alongside its Armed Forces Covenant commitments, which have been recognised with a Silver Award, the company – based at Cobalt Business Exchange – also supports STEM engagement, early careers pathways and skills development.
Steven Forrest, Forfusion founder and chief executive, said: “Receiving a King’s Award for Enterprise is a moment of real pride for everyone.
“Being recognised for how we champion opportunity, particularly through our work supporting veterans into civilian careers, reflects our belief that innovation and growth are strongest when people come first.”
