ZyroFisher lands Marmot distribution deal
A North East outdoor sports distributor has expanded its brand portfolio after securing an exclusive agreement with a global outdoor clothing company.
Darlington-based ZyroFisher has signed a deal with US outdoor brand Marmot to distribute its products across the UK and Ireland.
The agreement will see ZyroFisher handle Marmot’s full range of apparel, tents, sleeping bags and lifestyle backpacks from its headquarters near the A1.
Founded in 1971 by university students Dave Huntley and Eric Reynolds after meeting in Alaska, Marmot has built an international reputation for outdoor innovation over more than five decades.
Jon Graden, global general manager of Marmot, said: “For more than 50 years, Marmot has been a leader in high performing and long-lasting outdoor gear and apparel.
“Over the last two and a half years, we have been rebuilding a bolder Marmot that is manically focused on creating hard-working products for today’s diversified consumers.
“We believe that ZyroFisher is the ideal partner to help us deliver market expansion in the UK and Ireland.”
The partnership marks another milestone for ZyroFisher, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2025.
Operating from a 100,000sq ft bonded warehouse in Darlington, the company manages more than 28,500 product lines and distributes products across the UK and Europe.
ZyroFisher specialises in outdoor, cycling and snow sports brands, with its portfolio already including names such as SIGG, Sweet Protection, EVOC and Tifosi, alongside its own cycling brand Altura.
Nadine Thompson, chief commercial officer at ZyroFisher, added: “In the global outdoor sector, Marmot is one of the names that everyone knows, from alpinists and ultra-runners, to car campers and festival goers.
“With a reputation built on half a century of product innovation and creativity in marketing, the brand has played a role in shaping the outdoor industry that we know today.
“ZyroFisher is honoured to welcome Marmot to our growing family, and our team is energised and excited about presenting the latest products to our retail partners.”
