Firm unveils new Motherwell headquarters
A Lanarkshire accountancy and advisory firm has opened a new headquarters following a sustained period of rapid growth.
Accountants Plus has relocated to a new purpose-built headquarters on Airbles Road in Motherwell as part of a wider five-year transformation strategy aimed at supporting future growth.
Founded in 2001 as a one-person practice by senior partner Bryan Wood, the firm, which provides services spanning accountancy, audit, tax, VAT, payroll and financial systems, now employs more than 35 staff and serves over 1000 clients across Scotland.
The firm’s annual fee income has increased from around £750,000 in 2019 to £3 million in 2026, with projections of reaching £4 million next year.
The new three-storey, 18,000sq ft building has been designed to provide modern workspace, improved client facilities and room for future expansion.
Accountants Plus currently occupies the entire second floor, while additional office space remains available for other professional firms.
Designed as a “Centre of Financial Excellence”, the building also includes an on-site gym for staff and tenants as part of efforts to attract and retain talent.
Current tenant partners AP Wealth provide independent financial advice, while Robb Advisory delivers insolvency and restructuring services, and BC Technologies specialises in IT support, automation and digital infrastructure solutions, helping create a wider professional services hub within the building.
Ground floor units are already partially occupied, while further office space remains available for prospective tenants.
Bryan said: “This building is a milestone, not a starting point.
“It is a tangible marker of the progress we have made since our founding in 2001 and a clear signal of where Accountants Plus is going.
“Our growth has been driven by trusted client relationships, broadening technical capability and consistently high standards.
“The new headquarters gives us the space, flexibility and profile needed to continue delivering that success over the long term.”
Bryan added: “We see this building as a destination for professional excellence.
“Alongside accommodating our own growth, we are pleased to offer high‑quality space to businesses that share similar values and standards, creating a genuinely collaborative professional environment.”
