DWF appoints dispute resolution partner
Global legal and business services provider DWF has appointed Chris Spelman as partner within its London dispute resolution team.
Chris brings more than ten years’ experience advising banks, corporates and senior executives on complex litigation, regulatory investigations and financial services disputes across the UK and US.
He joins from roles at Slaughter and May, Milbank LLP and Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP, where he specialised in high-value commercial and regulatory matters involving financial institutions and investment firms.
At DWF, he will support clients on complex contentious issues alongside the firm’s wider disputes, regulatory and insurance teams.
Chris said: “DWF’s collaborative culture, multidisciplinary approach and ambitious growth strategy were central to my decision to join.
“There’s a real opportunity to develop a practice at the crossroads of financial services, regulatory risk and complex disputes, working closely with talented colleagues across the firm.
“I’m delighted to be part of a team that combines technical excellence with an entrepreneurial spirit, and I look forward to supporting clients on their most complex, business-critical matters.”
Stefan Paciorek, global head of dispute resolution at DWF, added: “Chris is an accomplished disputes and investigations lawyer with broad experience in financial services litigation, regulatory investigations, and class actions.
“His expertise and strategic approach are valuable additions to DWF, and we are pleased to welcome him.”
