LK Group appoints structural division director
Multi-disciplinary consultancy and specialist contractor The LK Group has appointed Giovanni Smanio as director of its structures division as the business continues to expand across the UK.
Giovanni joins from B&K Hybrid Solutions and brings more than 12 years’ experience delivering structural engineering projects across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
He will support the firm’s structural engineering operations in the North West, working closely with its structural surveying team across a range of major schemes.
Giovanni said: “The LK Group’s integrated approach to ground engineering, environmental services, and structural capabilities was a key factor in my decision to join.
“I’m looking forward to supporting the continued growth of the structures division and contributing to a diverse range of projects UK-wide.”
Greater Manchester-headquartered LK Group now employs more than 50 people nationally and is currently involved in projects including Eden Project Morecambe and Ashton Market.
Conor Leyden, managing director at The LK Group, added: “Expanding our structural capability is an important part of our growth strategy, and Giovanni’s appointment enhances the support we can provide across our structural surveying and engineering teams.
“His experience will add real value to our project delivery, particularly on structural schemes where close integration with our wider technical teams is essential.”
