Hellens backs Tees Valley charity
A Tees Valley property business has launched a new charity partnership aimed at supporting families, young people and vulnerable communities across the region.
Hellens Residential has entered into a two-year partnership with Middlesbrough-based charity The Junction, which provides services focused on mental health, youth support, employment and tackling poverty.
The collaboration will see the estate agency support fundraising campaigns and community initiatives designed to improve opportunities for local people facing hardship.
As part of the agreement, Hellens Residential will back events including The Junction’s annual golf day and the Step Up for Young Carers campaign.
The partnership will also support the charity’s multi-bank project, which distributed more than 2.2 million essential household items and supplies across Tees Valley last year.
Both organisations say the initiative is focused on delivering long-term support for communities throughout the region.
Kate Hellens, managing director of Hellens Residential, said: “Hellens Residential is really excited to be starting a new partnership with The Junction where we’ll work together over the next two years.
“We had already been working with The Junction through its multi-bank project to help support some of our tenants, so the collaboration felt like a natural fit.
“It was really important to us to give back to the communities we work in, and this felt like a genuine partnership where we can support the fantastic work the charity is doing across the Tees Valley, while also helping connect our tenants and communities with the services they provide.”
Beth Major, chief executive of The Junction, added: “The support from Hellens Residential is really important because they understand their communities and the challenges many local families are facing.
“This partnership will help us continue delivering services that support children, young people and families across the Tees Valley, including our young carers services and the multi-bank project.
“Partnerships like this make a real difference because they help sustain services and provide opportunities for people who may otherwise miss out.”
