Housebuilder begins work on £11 million scheme
A housebuilder has started work on an £11 million scheme.
Newett Homes has broken ground on the 27-home Cedar Grove estate in Birchencliffe, on the outskirts of Huddersfield.
Bosses say the venture will include two, three, four and five-bedroom homes.
They add properties will be fitted with solar panels and electric vehicle charging points, with Newett Homes also set to contribute £240,000 towards local education, transport, green space and biodiversity improvements.
Construction is earmarked for completion next summer.
Will Newett, chief executive at Newett Homes, which is headquartered at Thorp Arch, near Wetherby, said: “We’re pleased to see work starting at Cedar Grove.
“The scheme reflects our approach to delivering developments that are carefully designed around their surroundings.”
