Pacifica appoints chief people officer
Houghton-le-Spring-based appliance repair and warranty provider Pacifica has promoted Vikki Weston to the newly created role of chief people officer.
Previously group HR director, Vikki will now lead the company’s long-term people and culture strategy as Pacifica continues its national growth.
Having joined the business in 2012, she has played a key role in workforce expansion, leadership development and employee engagement initiatives across Pacifica’s nationwide operations.
In her new role, Vikki will work closely with the executive leadership team on areas including talent retention, wellbeing, succession planning and training, helping support more than 450 colleagues across the UK.
Vikki said: “This role is about taking a much broader view of how our people shape the success of Pacifica. HR will always remain incredibly important, but this position is about looking more holistically at the entire employee experience and how that links directly to customer service, operational excellence and business growth.
“Pacifica has always invested heavily in its people and culture, but this role allows us to take that even further by ensuring we continue attracting, developing and retaining the very best talent across every part of the business.
“One of the most important things for me is making sure our colleagues feel heard and valued.
“Whether someone works in the warehouse, customer service, engineering or head office, every person plays a role in delivering the service our customers receive.
“If people feel supported, trained and engaged, that naturally translates into a better experience for customers too.”
Kevin Brown, chief executive of Pacifica, added: “Vikki’s promotion to Chief People Officer reflects both her outstanding contribution to Pacifica over many years and the importance we place on our people as part of our long-term growth strategy.
“She has helped shape a culture where colleagues feel supported, listened to and empowered to succeed, while also ensuring our people strategy aligns closely with the wider commercial objectives of the business.
“As Pacifica continues to grow, it is vital that we continue investing in our people, leadership and culture.
“Vikki’s new role will play a key part in ensuring we remain an employer of choice while continuing to deliver exceptional service for our customers and partners.”
