JLG strengthens London team with associate appointment
Specialist consumer and group litigation law firm Johnson Law Group (JLG) has appointed Nishanth Vasanth as associate in its London office as the firm continues to expand its presence in the capital.
Before joining JLG, Nishanth worked on several of the largest group claims in England and Wales, including litigation linked to the collapse of the Fundão dam in Brazil and the Pan NOx emissions group litigation concerning alleged defeat devices in diesel engines.
Earlier in his career, he served as a law clerk at the Supreme Court of India, supporting constitutional, commercial and public law matters.
Nishanth said: “I am looking forward to the range of litigation envisaged at JLG London and the possibility of harnessing the firm’s transatlantic capabilities to effectuate them.
“The idea of simultaneously working on litigations which are at different stages of their lifecycle is genuinely exciting and is a huge part of why I became a disputes lawyer.”
Nishanth’s appointment further strengthens JLG’s capability in complex, large-scale group litigation as its London office continues to grow following its launch in 2024.
Headquartered in Manchester, the firm specialises in consumer and group claims on behalf of individuals across the UK.
Peter Gallagher, London managing partner of JLG, added: “Nishanth brings impressive experience across complex, large-scale litigation, alongside a strong commitment to claimant-focused legal work.
“We’re delighted to welcome him to the London office at an exciting stage of growth for the firm, and look forward to the contribution he will make to both our clients and the wider team.”
