Kirkwood appoints business development manager

Aberdeenshire-based Kirkwood Timber Frame has appointed Dyke McKenzie as business development manager as the company continues to strengthen its position within the Scottish construction sector.

Dyke brings more than 30 years’ experience across manufacturing, sales and business development roles within the timber and construction industries, having worked with businesses across the housing, healthcare and education sectors throughout the UK.

He said: “I’m excited to join Kirkwood Timber Frame and look forward to supporting the team by getting out there, building relationships and using my knowledge, experience and contacts to help the business grow. 

“Despite the construction industry experiencing a difficult period at present, there is huge potential in the timber frame sector. 

“I believe that Kirkwood has positioned itself well to capitalise on this opportunity.”

His appointment will support Kirkwood Timber Frame’s continued growth as demand increases for sustainable and energy-efficient construction solutions.

The company manufactures precision-engineered timber frame systems for developers, contractors, housing associations and self-build customers, with the capacity to deliver around 2000 units annually.

Kirkwood’s FastBuild® range is designed to help accelerate construction programmes while supporting more sustainable building practices and improved energy performance.
