WEALTH at work appoints chief commercial officer
Financial wellbeing and workplace savings specialist WEALTH at work has appointed Alexander Walsh as chief commercial officer in a newly created role designed to support the company’s next phase of growth.
Alexander will join the Liverpool-headquartered firm in June and will report to co-founder and director Jonathan Watts-Lay, with responsibility for driving commercial growth, enhancing client engagement and developing new customer-focused solutions.
He joins from employee share plan administration provider Howells Associates, where he served as chief executive officer until its recent sale to Cytec Solutions earlier this year.
Alongside his commercial leadership background, Alexander is a former British Army officer and brings experience leading teams and delivering transformation programmes across high-growth businesses.
He said: “I’ve known WEALTH at work from the outside for a while and always been impressed.
“It is a business with real substance behind it: the people, the focus on doing right by clients, the way it's built its reputation.
“But the opportunity ahead is what really excites me.
“More and more employers are waking up to the fact that financial wellbeing isn't a nice-to-have, it’s a business imperative, and WEALTH at work is perfectly placed to meet that moment.
“I’m very excited to join the team and to help shape and deliver the commercial strategy as we build on that momentum.”
WEALTH at work supports more than 700 organisations across the UK, providing financial wellbeing, retirement and workplace savings services to millions of employees nationwide.
Jonathan Watts-Lay, director at WEALTH at work, added: “We have an ambitious growth strategy for WEALTH at work that is underpinned by a commitment to continually invest in our people, propositions and our market-leading services to clients.
“We want to continue to deliver profitable, sustainable growth, and Alexander’s appointment to this newly created role is another significant step in that journey.
“He brings deep commercial expertise, a highly collaborative leadership style and a strong track record of building high-performing teams that deliver real value for clients.
“I’m delighted to welcome Alexander to WEALTH at work.”
