Unbelievable! Brewer and Kammy in charity boost
A beer maker is hoping to score charity support with a World Cup football venture.
Brew York is re-releasing Kammy’s Un-Beer-Lievable lager alongside football pundit Chris Kamara to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
The move comes after sales of the thirst quencher helped raise more than £15,000 for the charity during the Euro 2024 tournament.
Wayne Smith, co-founder and managing director of Brew York, which operates a base in Osbaldwick on the outskirts of York, said: “It's an absolute pleasure to be collaborating with Kammy again.
“His enthusiasm for this beer – and the money it raises for Prostate Cancer UK – is irresistible.”
Former Leeds United and Sheffield United player Chris, who also managed Bradford City before becoming a household name on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday programme, said: “Brew York have been a perfect partner to work with for this project.
“It’s exciting to know it will feature heavily in their pubs and bars and raise awareness of prostate cancer.”
James Steven, Prostate Cancer UK head of partnerships, added: “We’re delighted Brew York and Kammy are again supporting us ahead of another massive summer of football.
“Through the funds raised and awareness generated from this collaboration, we’re reaching men with a health awareness message in an environment where they feel most comfortable, while raising money that will help save lives.”
