Housebuilder celebrates award success
A housebuilder with a growing footprint across the North East has been recognised for its business performance and industry impact.
Miller Homes has been named Large Business of the Year at the British Business Awards, announced at a ceremony in Edinburgh.
The accolade recognises the company’s growth, leadership and commitment to employees, customers and local communities, alongside its strong financial performance.
Miller Homes was shortlisted alongside a number of high-profile businesses, including SEGRO, Menzies Aviation and Centurion, with judges praising the strength of the organisations represented across the awards.
Stewart Lynes, chief executive of Miller Homes, said: “We are honoured to be recognised as Large Business of the Year, an award that reflects the collective dedication, high standards and customer focus across our organisation.
“This achievement underscores our commitment to sustainable growth, operational excellence, and the pride we take in building high-quality, sustainable homes that meet the evolving needs of our customers and communities.”
The recognition comes as the housebuilder continues to expand its presence in the North East.
Miller Homes currently has nine active developments across the region, with further sites expected to launch in the coming months.
The homebuilder is also accelerating the rollout of its St. Modwen brand in the North East, including the opening of its first dedicated show home at the highly anticipated Seaham Garden Village development in County Durham.
The British Business Awards ceremony also raised more than £1 million for homelessness charity Social Bite.
Ryan Lincoln, regional managing director for Miller Homes North East, added: “Miller Homes is investing more in the North East of England this year than ever before so it is fantastic to see the company’s commitment to building sustainable, high-quality communities recognised by such a prestigious accolade.
“From Northumberland down to Durham, we are committed to helping not only alleviate the region’s housing shortage but create great communities where people prosper and with more developments in the pipeline, we can’t wait to share more about our plans for the future.
“It’s a very exciting time for everyone involved with the business.”
