Transport firm drives on with AdBlue agreement
A tanker firm has driven its order book forward with a multi-year chemicals deal.
Hutchinson Transport has secured a distribution partnership with GreenChem Solutions.
The agreement will see the Middlesbrough, Hull and Runcorn-based company deliver AdBlue-branded diesel exhaust fluid products to truck and bus operators, forecourts, agricultural customers and commercial sites.
The deal represents the first major success for sibling business owners Rhys and Nathan Hutchinson, who completed a management buyout of the business from parents Bruce and Gill in April.
Managing director Rhys said: “GreenChem needed a partner that could move quickly, put the right equipment in place and take responsibility for the operation from the start.
“Nathan and I are close to the fleet, the drivers, the workshop and the customer, so decisions can be made quickly.
“That means direct access to the people responsible.”
The contract is supported by Hutchinson Technical Services, the group’s commercial vehicle workshop.
Jack Haynes, GreenChem Solutions’ sales engineer and account manager, added: “Hutchinson’s professionalism and thoroughness impressed us, as did its willingness to meet all aspects of our requirements.
“The drivers have been helpful, friendly and reliable, and the engineering background within the business gives us confidence that if something does need putting right, it will be handled effectively and quickly.”
