Hellens Group promotes finance leaders
North East-based property, construction, and regeneration company Hellens Group has strengthened its leadership team with the promotion of Rachel Bradley and Andy Johnson to finance director roles.
Rachel has been appointed finance director for Hellens Group and Hellens Residential.
Having joined the business in 2018, she previously served as group finance manager and will now oversee financial planning, site appraisals and reporting across the group.
Rachel said: “Hellens is a great place to work where you are constantly encouraged to grow and develop.
“I’m incredibly grateful to Hellens for supporting me throughout my career and encouraging me to pursue a path in finance, which ultimately led to me qualifying as a chartered management accountant.
“This business has an exciting and dynamic future that I look forward to being a part of.”
Andy has been promoted to finance director at Catterick-based concrete paving manufacturer Oakdale (Contracts) Ltd.
A chartered accountant, he joined the business in 2022 as finance manager and supports a number of strategic development projects across the wider group.
Andy added: “I’m delighted to take on the role of finance director at Oakdale and continue supporting the wider Hellens Group on key strategic developments.
“Oakdale is a forward-thinking manufacturing business with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, particularly around carbon reduction, and I’m looking forward to helping support the next stage of its growth.”
Their appointments form part of Hellens Group’s continued growth strategy, strengthening financial leadership across its property, manufacturing and development interests.
The business continues to invest in major projects, including the Burtree Garden Village development in Darlington.
Gavin Cordwell-Smith, director at Hellens Group, added: “Rachel and Andy have both demonstrated exceptional commitment, expertise and leadership within the business.
“These appointments reflect not only their individual contributions, but also the continued growth and ambition of the Hellens Group.
“As we continue to expand across multiple sectors and deliver major projects, having strong financial leadership in place is vital.
“Rachel and Andy will both play an important role in supporting the long-term future of the group and helping us continue to innovate and grow.”
