Forage returns for bank holiday showcase
A North East creative market is set to bring together dozens of independent makers, artists and food producers for a two-day celebration of local talent over the August bank holiday weekend.
Forage Market will return to End Hemmel Barn at Northumberland farmhouse brewery Rigg & Furrow on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August, bringing together around 50 independent makers, artists and creative businesses from across the region.
Founded by creative duo Ellie Davison-Archer and Steven Eyles, Forage has grown into one of the North East’s best-known independent markets, offering visitors the chance to shop from a carefully curated selection of artists, designers and makers.
The event aims to showcase the creativity and craftsmanship found across the region while providing a platform for small businesses to connect with customers.
Alongside the market, visitors can enjoy food and drink from local traders, with Rigg & Furrow’s taproom serving artisan-brewed beverages throughout the weekend.
A selection of street food vendors will also be on site.
Entry costs £2, with under-16s, carers and dogs admitted free of charge. Tickets include parking, entry into a raffle and a charitable donation.
The market will run from 12pm to 5pm on both days, with the taproom remaining open until 9pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday.
Tickets are available in advance via the Forage Lifestyle website or can be purchased on the door.
