SDA promotes senior engineer
Sheffield-based building services engineering consultancy Services Design Associates (SDA) has promoted Luke Tuggey to senior electrical building services design engineer.
Luke joined the business in 2021 as an intermediate electrical building services design engineer and has progressed through the company’s internal career development pathway.
His promotion reflects SDA’s commitment to developing talent from within and investing in the long-term growth of its technical team.
Luke said: “I’m extremely happy to have been promoted to senior building services design engineer after five years progressing through different roles within the business.
“SDA has been a great support to me, and I’ve really enjoyed learning the ropes of the job here.
“There’s a great pipeline of exciting projects lined up, and I am looking forward to getting stuck into my new role and applying everything I've learnt at a higher level.”
Founded in 1988, SDA is an independent engineering consultancy employing more than 30 professionals.
The firm provides building services engineering expertise across a range of sectors, including healthcare, education, leisure and the public sector.
Luke’s promotion further strengthens the company’s electrical engineering capability as it continues to support projects across the UK.
Matt Smith, director of SDA, added: “We are incredibly proud of Luke, who has worked hard for this promotion.
“It is a testament to his knowledge, effort and expertise, which has only continued to grow since he has been at SDA.
“Nurturing talent and encouraging progression is important at SDA, and it is always an honour to reward staff who always go above and beyond.”
