Entries now open for Dynamites Awards
A North East technology awards programme has opened for entries, with a new category recognising individual technical excellence.
The Dynamites Awards 2026 will take place at Newcastle Civic Centre on Thursday, November 12, returning for a 13th year to celebrate the people, teams and organisations driving innovation and growth across the region’s technology sector.
This year’s programme introduces an Individual Technical Excellence award, designed to recognise established professionals who demonstrate exceptional expertise and deliver impact through their role and wider contribution to the industry.
The awards are open across 14 categories, including Best Use of Data & AI, Tech for Good, Tech Startup, Project Excellence and Outstanding Workplace.
Helen Faulds, chief information officer at Cora Health, has been confirmed as chair of judges for 2026 and will oversee the judging process, while Accenture will return as headline sponsor.
Supporters say the awards continue to play a key role in showcasing the strength of the North East’s tech community and recognising the businesses and individuals shaping its future.
David Darlington, associate director at Accenture, said: “We believe that thriving tech ecosystems are built on the people within them, and that’s exactly what the Dynamites celebrate, recognising the brilliant individuals and teams who are shaping the region’s tech future in the North East.
“Events like this inspire the next generation of talent, shine a light on the innovation happening right here on our doorstep, and remind us all why this community is something to be genuinely proud of.
“We’re incredibly excited for 2026 and look forward to celebrating with everyone who makes this region's tech sector so special.”
Jarek Rosinski, founder and executive chairman at Transmission Dynamics and winner of the 2025 Best Use of Data & AI award, added: “Data and AI mean nothing without meaningful impact.
“At Transmission Dynamics, that’s the standard we hold ourselves to, so being recognised at the Dynamites Awards for Best Use of Data & AI was a huge achievement for our team.
“The Dynamites are a fantastic celebration of innovation, bringing together businesses and individuals who are genuinely pushing boundaries and solving complex challenges.
“It's an opportunity to showcase the work happening behind the scenes, connect with like-minded innovators, and celebrate the strength of the region's technology community.
“We'd strongly encourage others to get involved this year – whether entering, attending, or supporting.
“The awards are a brilliant way to recognise the people, ideas, and technologies making a real difference across the industry.”
Entries close on Thursday, September 10. Winners will be announced at the Dynamites Awards ceremony on November 12.
