Franklyn extends Sale Sharks partnership
A Cheshire wealth management firm has scored a long-term partnership extension with one of English rugby's leading clubs.
Franklyn Wealth Management has renewed its partnership with Sale Sharks, extending a relationship that began in 2020 and adding sponsorship of the club’s women’s team for the first time.
The Congleton-based business will see its branding appear on the back of Sale Sharks Women’s playing kit from next season in the Premiership Women’s Rugby competition.
The new three-year deal builds on Franklyn’s existing support of the men’s team, where its logo has featured on playing kit since the original agreement was signed.
As part of the partnership renewal, Franklyn branding will also feature at both the Morson Stadium and CorpAcq Stadium.
The agreement will include matchday takeovers at selected men’s and women’s fixtures, further strengthening links between the business, the club and its supporters.
Andy Chatterton, managing director at Franklyn, said: “After six superb years of partnering Sale Sharks this renewal was an easy and natural decision.
“The club, from the backroom team to the players and the owners, have been an integral part of Franklyn.
“The opportunity to partner with the women’s team along with the men’s team is great news and we are so pleased about this.
“Franklyn is a relationship business which fits with the DNA of the club.
“Being able to be a small part of the Sale Sharks journey is a privilege.”
Sharks’ commercial director Luisa d’Aprano added: “We are really excited to announce this renewal with Franklyn and we’re looking forward to how we develop the partnership over the next three years.
“We have seen great success with our women’s team, and we’ve got big plans going forward for next season and beyond, so it’s brilliant to see Franklyn on board supporting the women's team as well.
“The extension of the agreement clearly demonstrates Franklyn’s dedication to the club and our fans and their commitment to building a genuine, mutually beneficial partnership.
“We’re looking forward to continuing to work closely with Andy and the team over the next three years.”
