Distillery toasts graduates with new gin
A North East spirits producer has launched a new small-batch gin designed to celebrate graduates as they mark academic success and take their next steps.
WL Distillery has unveiled Graduation Gin, a premium spirit created for gifting, graduation celebrations and special occasions.
The new release combines fruit notes with warming spice and has been developed to reflect achievement, ambition and new beginnings.
The launch has particular significance for WL Distillery founder Scott Wilson-Laing, who has worked closely with universities across the region through mentoring, guest lectures, industry collaboration and course involvement.
Scott says the product celebrates not only academic achievement but also the resilience and entrepreneurial mindset many graduates take into their careers.
He adds the release will appeal to consumers seeking a memorable graduation gift, as well as hotels, bars, restaurants and venues looking to enhance graduation menus, celebration packages and gifting experiences.
He said: “Graduation is one of those rare moments in life that deserves to be truly celebrated.
“Through working with universities, I’ve had the privilege of meeting and supporting some incredible students and aspiring entrepreneurs.
“Graduation Gin is our way of recognising their hard work, raising a glass to their achievements and wishing them every success as they begin the next chapter of their journey.
“At WL Distillery, we've always believed that great spirits help create lasting memories.
“Graduation Gin celebrates a milestone for those receiving their degrees, but it also marks another important chapter in our own journey as a business.
“It’s a product that perfectly reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, community and celebrating success.”
Graduation Gin also marks another step in the continued growth of WL Distillery, which has built a reputation for distinctive small-batch spirits rooted in craftsmanship and storytelling.
WL Distillery has secured a number of industry accolades, including gold at The Gin Masters, a place in the London Spirits Top 100 and recognition from publications including Vogue and GQ.
