Sowden & Sowden strengthens client services team
East Yorkshire creative agency Sowden & Sowden has appointed Jon Patrick as senior account manager as it continues to expand its digital, strategic and client delivery capabilities.
Jon joins the agency with extensive experience across e-commerce, digital marketing and performance strategy, having worked with brands including Mars, Durex, Greene King, Hobbs, Viking Direct and DeAgostini.
His background spans SEO, paid search, conversion rate optimisation, Shopify development and large-scale digital transformation projects.
Jon said: “What attracted me to Sowdens was the ambition of the agency, the quality of the work and the opportunity to work closely with clients across a really diverse mix of sectors.
“There’s a strong balance between creativity, strategic thinking and commercial focus, which is increasingly important as clients expect agencies to deliver measurable business outcomes, not just outputs.
“My approach has always been centred around understanding a client’s business and becoming part of their wider team.
“The deeper that understanding, the better the results.”
Jon’s appointment follows the recent arrival of Louise Scott as head of client services and reflects the agency’s continued investment in senior client leadership as it supports a growing portfolio of national clients.
In his new role, Jon will support account development, integrated campaign delivery and digital growth initiatives across the agency's client base, which includes Quickline, NEC Software Solutions, City Health Care Partnership CIC, Hull York Medical School and Ørsted.
Polly Sowden, owner, creative lead and director at Sowden & Sowden, added: “Jon brings exactly the kind of digital and client management experience we’re continuing to build into the agency.
“He understands how performance, strategy and client relationships need to work together to deliver meaningful results, particularly across complex or fast-moving accounts.
“As our client portfolio evolves, strengthening that strategic delivery capability remains incredibly important to us.”
The announcement comes as marketing executive Sami Bourne celebrates her first year with the agency, having expanded her role across client services, social media and content.
Polly added: “Sami has had a brilliant first year with us and has quickly become a valued member of the team.
“She has grown in confidence, taken on more responsibility and brought real energy to our marketing and content activity.
“She is a great example of what we want to continue building at Sowdens: talented people who care about the work, support each other and want to keep learning.
“Alongside Jon’s appointment and Louise joining as head of client services, Sami’s first anniversary is another reminder that growth is not just about adding new people.
“It is also about creating an environment where good people want to stay, develop and make an impact.”
