Work starts on £4 million petrol station venture
Work has started on a £4 million petrol station scheme.
Contractors have broken ground on an EG On The Move site, convenience store and Starbucks drive-thru at the Integra 61 development, near Bowburn, County Durham.
Bosses say the venture will create about 70 jobs, adding the filling station is expected to open later this year.
The site will join existing Integra 61 tenants that include an Amazon distribution hub, a warehouse estate and Greggs and Costa Coffee outlets on the Citrus Durham endeavour.
David Cullingford, head of development at Citrus Durham parent operator Citrus Group, said: “Integra 61 has attracted strong interest from a variety of occupiers and investors since its inception, and our roster of occupiers will be enhanced even further by the addition of this EG On The Move scheme.
Peta Pank, EG On The Move acquisitions manager, added: “We are delighted construction has begun at Integra 61.
“We look forward to helping further strengthen this area of Integra 61’s appeal as a popular roadside destination.”
