HAHN Plastics UK appoints new facilities manager
Greater Manchester-based HAHN Plastics UK has appointed Steven Sankey as facilities manager as it continues a multi-million-pound investment programme to modernise its operations.
Steven brings more than 25 years of experience in facilities management, site operations and health and safety within the manufacturing sector.
In his new role, he will lead the company's internal facilities team, oversee contractors and support the day-to-day management of the site.
Working alongside the senior leadership team, he will also help deliver HAHN Plastics’ ongoing investment programme, including improvements to digital systems and site processes.
Steven said: “I’m really happy to join HAHN at what is such a pivotal and exciting time for the business.
“There is a genuine commitment to investing in the site and the systems needed to support long-term growth, and I'm looking forward to playing my part in supporting that growth.
“What has stood out to me since joining is the positive attitude across the business and the willingness to embrace new ideas and improvements.
“There is a great opportunity to build on the progress already being made, and I’m excited to work with colleagues across the site as we continue to modernise the operation and prepare for the future.”
Founded in 1993, HAHN Plastics UK manufactures sustainable alternatives to virgin plastic, wood, concrete and steel using recycled plastics, supporting the transition to a more circular economy.
Noel Marques-Neves, operations director at HAHN Plastics UK, added: “Steven brings more than 25 years of experience and a practical understanding of what it takes to run a safe and well-organised manufacturing site.
“He has made a positive impact since joining the business and has quickly become an important part of our wider modernisation plans.
“His experience goes far beyond what many people would associate with facilities management, particularly when it comes to digital systems and continuous improvement.
“As we continue to invest in the site, Steven’s expertise will help us improve the way we work, support our people and ensure we're well positioned for future growth.”
